Located
at the foot of the Sierras Chicas, an immaculately-restored,
19th-century lodge is catalyst for the quintessential Argentina
dove hunt. This dove shooting program was developed by the
legendary David Denies, whom pioneered high-volume Argentina dove
hunting in 1982. The elegant hunting lodge performs in luxury
hotel fashion and caters to groups of 2-14 hunters. The lodge
features 9 guest rooms, each with private bath, large living,
dining and veranda areas.
Starting with our legendary field lunches, meals are a
highlight. Since dove shooting stays are typically short, ala
carte evening dining is offered. Choose from among five or six
different chef-prepared entrees and salads each evening. The lodge
offers an in-house masseuse, a sauna, pool, and internet
connectivity. A spacious, fully-stocked complimentary bar,
recreation room with billiards and television, and gun cleaning
room are additional features. With the best Argentine beef
and quality ingredients the chef creates an array of delicious
traditional specialties and international dishes. Carefully
selected Argentine top wines compliment his mouth watering
menus.
Located about an hour from Cordoba, this is a working Argentine
estancia which currently farms crops and raises cattle. You
will experience a large part of the local culture. For non-shooting
guests, shopping trips and tours of the historic City of Cordoba
are available. From the moment you arrive in Argentina service is
personalized and attention is paid to every imaginable detail. This
standard is maintained throughout by all the house staff and guide
team that makes this Argentina dove hunt peerless.
The lodge enjoys 55 shooting fields all within a short, scenic
drive through the region's rich farmland. Shooting normally takes
place in the nearby hills, driving is only minutes to the several
different fields, which provide excellent and continuous shooting
at novice to expert levels.
The hunting program generally begins with a hearty breakfast and
short drive to the field. In the field a pick up boy, who
will provide you with shells and refreshments and direct you to
your shooting stand, will be assigned. The shooting is
situated in a flyway, where the doves between roosts and feeding
areas.
Your field host will constantly visit to assist you with any
need. Depending on the time of the year you will shoot until
noon and then be treated to an incredible barbeque lunch, shaded by
a comfortable safari tent, tasting some of Argentina's wonderful
beef and superb wines. Hammocks will be available afterwards
for those who are so inclined.
Afternoon hunting begins at around 2:00- 2:30, and continues
until almost dark. There is no definite time to close the
shoot. Return to the lodge for cocktails and early dinner, to
recount the days events among friends.
