Missouri Canada Goose Hunts
Located in northwestern Missouri, 3 nearby waterfowl refuges overwinter spectacular numbers of migrating ducks and geese. Combined with solid private-lands hunting strategy, several thousand acres of agricultural fields and the ability to maintain open water, this Canada goose hunting can be outstanding.
Top-quality decoys and equipment, pre-scouted hunt locations and excellent calling are the hallmarks of this goose hunting operation. From intensive habitat management to maintenance of open water, absolutely nothing is spared in delivering the Canada goose hunt of a lifetime. Hunt out of pit blinds over water and out of layout blinds when field hunting.
January hunts are now Canada Goose/Upland combos at no additional charge! The hunt will include three nights lodging, excellent meals, three days hunting Canada Geese and Upland birds for $1800/person. Canada Goose hunts take place in private corn fields out of large fullbody decoy spreads in layout blinds and also in pits over water holes kept open with Ice Eaters. Upland hunts for pheasants and quail take place over a team of well trained pointers - a great way to get more 'bang' for your hard-earned bucks!
These

hunt packages that also include upscale lodging and meals.
Hotel and restaurants are available locally for those that
prefer.
Canada goose hunting packages include private lodging that is spacious and comfortable, the perfect place to stretch your feet out in front of the fireplace and relive the day's memorable hunt. Nightly dinners are catered by a distinguished 5-star restaurant recently inducted into the Missouri Restaurant Hall of Fame. Main courses of prime rib, salmon, filet mignon, chicken, various pastas, and ribeyes, are accompanied by salads, home-made dressings, fresh vegetables, breads, home-made desserts, and matched with the perfect wine.

2009-10 Missouri Waterfowl Hunting Season Dates (North Zone):
Duck Hunting - Oct 31 to Dec 29
Canada Goose Hunting - Sept 26 to Oct 7 and Nov 26 to Jan 31
White-fronted Goose Hunting - Nov 26 to Jan 31
Light Goose Hunting (Snows, blues, Ross') - Oct 31 to Jan 31
The Conservation Order for light geese will be in effect from February 1-April 30 with no bag limit. Hunters may use electronic calls and unplugged shotguns, and shoot from ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset. A Conservation Order Permit is the only permit required for residents & nonresidents during this time.
Rates
Per-Hunter Missouri Canada Goose Hunting Package Rates:
$1,800 Canada goose hunt only 3 day with lodging and meals.
Missouri Canada Goose Hunt only in January, call for daily rate and availability.
Inclusive Per-Hunter Missouri Duck Hunt Package Rates during which Canada geese may also be hunted:
$1,950 3-day Missouri duck hunt with 2-3 hunters minimum required to book.
$1,800 3-day guided Missouri duck hunt, 4 hunters minimum required to book.
Itinerary
Deluxe, all-inclusive Missouri Goose Hunting Package, lodge check-in is 5 pm, dinner is usually served shortly after 7 pm. Depart at noon following your last morning of your Canada goose hunts.
Hotel option: Check into hotel the day preceding your hunt (about 1.5 hours from Kansas City). Outfitter will contact you shortly after hotel check-in to discuss the following morning's arrangements.
What to Bring
The following is suggested for Missouri Canada goose hunts:
- Waders or hip boots, warm camo clothing, face masks. Because weather duck hunting conditions are diverse, prepare to dress in layers.
- Foul weather gear and field bag
- Shotgun (12 gauge minimum recommended) choked imp cylinder or mod, and gun cleaning supplies
- Non-toxic ammo
- Ice chest

Licensing - Missouri Canada Goose Hunting
Required to hunt Canada geese in Missouri: Nonresident Small Game Hunting Permit, a federal duck stamp, a Migratory Bird Hunting Permit. Nonresident permits can be purchased by phone in advance of your Missouri Canada goose hunt at (800) 392-4115.
Bird Limits - Missouri Canada Goose Hunting
- Ducks: 6 per day
- Canada Geese: 2 per day
- Light Geese: 20 per day
- White-fronted geese: 2 per day
- Possession limits 12 ducks, 4 Canada geese, 2 white-fronted geese. There is no possession limit for light geese.
- Only 1 each pintail, black duck and canvasback, only 2 each, redheads and scaup, only 3 each wood ducks allowed in the daily bag limit of 6 ducks.
- Mallard daily limit is 4 only 2 of which may be hens.
Retriever Policy - Missouri Canada Goose Hunts
Properly trained retrievers are always welcome, but they must be well managed so as not to negatively impact the hunting. Outfitter reserves the right to request dog no longer be hunted. A tie down stake or leash strongly recommended to ensure dog safety.
Bird Processing - Missouri Canada Goose Hunting
Bird Cleaning is not included in cost of Missouri Canada Goose Hunt package, but a helping hand is usually provided by this highly-professional staff. Birds may be breasted or picked. A nearby commercial bird processing facility is available. For $3-$4 per bird, your goose will be professionally picked, frozen and ready for home transport.
We strongly suggest bringing ice chests large enough to ensure proper care of birds. All waterfowl must be kept in ice chest located in hunters vehicle. USFWS statutes regarding transportation of migratory game birds are carefully adhered.
